Why Sheepish?

Definition: 1 : like a sheep (as in being meek or shy) 2 : feeling or showing embarrassment especially over being discovered having done something wrong or foolish a sheepish look.

Why would we call ourselves that?

It all started as a family and friends joke where I would jest that I was going to leave everything and go start a sheep farm. This led to many purchases of 'Farmers Weekly' and much teasing. This eventually culminated in the purchase of a stuffed sheep plushy which became our travelling mascot.

When starting our Instagram page to document our travels and vehicle modifications, a unique name was elusive. Using our travelling sheep as part of the name was suggested and so the ideas started rolling. Sheepy was the obvious name but a search of sheepy revealed a lot of other pages and companies with that name.

One thing we wanted to do with our page was to keep our anonymity. We aren't looking for fame or popularity, we just wanted to share our adventures through our pictures and so this 'Shyness' led to our Sheepish name.

While an unusual name for an overlanding page, we have grown attached to our name and the sheep mascot as can be seen in lots of our Instagram stories and our logo.
